By using a combination of stealth, mind control, and a little patience, you can get 'friendly' with these sharpshooters and eventually save your Psi juice for when you really need it. Make Snipers Your Best Friends with Mind Control! After your arrival at the Black Sea shipping company you'll notice the movement has more to hide and has employed snipers throughout the compound. You may need to throw in the occasional TK explosive barrel here and there, but you should not have to fire a single shot. The first level, for instance, can be completed without firing a single shot by using objects for cover and sneaking behind enemies using your stealth melee kill (sneak up behind an enemy without them being aware and press the melee button). Hiding behind objects and using mind control to take over enemies and then using them to kill other enemies is usually a very effective strategy. Patience Is a VirtueĪlthough sometimes not as satisfying as running in with guns blazing, going slowly and staying hidden is not as detrimental to your health, especially on later levels. Either TK enemies at explosives or TK throw the explosives at them and watch the carnage. First of all, it is just cool to see rag-dolled bodies flying through the air, but also because it is an extremely effective way of dispatching enemies. Be it the standard explosive red barrel, gas tanks, dynamite, or a number of other items that go boom. Use Those Explosives We littered many of the levels of Psi-Ops with a lot of explosives. When encountering an area that seems impassable or too hard, try using mind control from a safe distance from the action. When in Doubt - MC In a difficult combat area, when in doubt, use mind control. In particular, some Psi powers work better than others in certain situations. Scryer has so many weapons, some are better suited for certain areas or challenges. But wait, there is still more! The shotgun at close range, when aimed at the head, will also always cause a bloody head shot and is quite satisfying. But there is still more, head shots from the sniper rifle are also guaranteed one-shot kills, except for MP3s. Not only that, if you sneak up from behind on an enemy, not alerting him, and get really close, you can get one-shot kills. Head shots do a lot more damage than shots to the body, so it would be wise to aim there. But you are still able to aim at certain spots of the body making your weapons more effective. In Psi-Ops the targeting reticule will help you quite a bit to aim at enemies.
